Charlotte Murrell

Abigail Duboyce

Abigail plays Charlotte Murrell, Genevieve and Jerome's youngest child.

The following is Charlotte's story, written by Abigail:

Charlotte is Jerome and Genevieve’s youngest child. Being the youngest, she is easily forgotten amidst the shuffle of life and the excitement of the French Revolution. Because she is from a poor family, Charlotte has never had something of her own. Her family means more to her than anything else, because family is all that she has. She knows her family is blessed to have what little food is put before them, and she is thankful for it. She is closest to her older brother, Andre, who is her rock amidst the chaos and confusion of the rising rebellion. In her 11-year-old mind, everyone is revolting because of the lack of food; she doesn’t understand that the uprising goes much deeper. Every night, before her mother sends her to bed, she sits at the table and listens to her family argue over whether the revolution is the best way to bring about change. As the revolt grows stronger, Charlotte grows more afraid and confused. Her biggest fear is that someone close to her, specifically Andre, will die in the fight to be free.
