Comtesse Helene de Rousseau

Christan Tracy

Christan plays Comtesse Helene de Rousseau, the arrogant wife of the arrogant Comte.

The following is the Comtesse's story, written by Christan:

Helene was born into a rich family in France. From the moment she was born, it was pressed upon her that she would marry a rich man. Growing up, Helene’s mother was very strict in the manner of which Helene would present herself. She was given precise instructions on how to dress, stand, sit, talk, and the like. Pride in her position was instilled in her early on. When she reached 16, her mother had found Helene a husband. He was a few years older than Helene, so she was apprehensive at first, but they were married 2 years later. Before the wedding, Helene became fond of Philippe, but she couldn’t say she loved him. Once they were married, Helene loved him more. Once she found she was pregnant with Odette, Helene knew she would give her child everything. As Odette grew up, Helene taught her to take pride in her name. She tried to teach Odette how to be a graceful, respectable, young woman. Helene’s upbringing is reflected in the way she interacts with her husband, her mother-in-law, her daughter, and the people around her.
