Francois Murrell

Thomas Flynn

Thomas plays Francois Murrell, a poor young father desperate to change his family's sorry circumstances.

The following is Francois' story, written by Thomas:

Francois has never been materialistic. Growing up in a very poor family, he didn’t own many things of value. Instead, he cherished his relationships with his friends and family. When he was 13, he would fetch water for his mother everyday -  except one day, there was no water. He searched all over, but he could find nothing. He did not want to go home empty handed to his family, so he headed into town. There he saw many rich people drinking wine and eating food he could never imagine to try. Instead of getting jealous, Francois got angry. He wished that he could provide such luxuries to his family. Francois does not fight for himself. He believes that his existence is no more important than anyone else’s, therefore he should use it to help whoever he can. Francois values family above all. He does not fight against the aristocracy, he fights for his family’s well being. Francois is very close to Marguerite, and she is one of the most important people in his life.
