Sabine
Melanie Nelson
Melanie plays Sabine, a revolutionary married to Antoine. The following is Sabine's story, written by Melanie:
Sabine grew up in France. France was her home. She was born into a well suited family on a farm. They made a living that way through their produce. When she grew to be about eighteen years old she started traveling around France to see everything there was to see. Every small town and largely populated one. She learned of its history and was a dedicated citizen, happy to live in France. She had big dreams for her country, ready to help build it up!
She met Antoine and they were married shortly after. He always had doubts about the country and its downfall. Sabine slowly started realizing some negative things in her loved country, hearing through her husband, news about the aristocrats, the government and how they were acting. She still had hope for the country and everyone working together to make France better. Her husband did not help her positivity. But she trusted him and his decisions. Sabine only started to realize for herself the problem occurring when her husband’s suspicions started to come true. They weren’t making a living like they used to, her friends were coming to her with their problems to help them out. Her friends' children were sick and they didn’t have the money to buy the proper food for them. She helped as much as she could to keep her friends' families as they were since she only had a family of two while her friends had children. She helped until there wasn’t enough money coming in to provide for more than two. She started going without food for a while, going out of town for supplies to make clothes. But she still found the same treatment towards the commoners. She began telling things as they were. She looked up to her husband to start a plan to stop this. Every day she heard more and more from her friends and husband about the children starving, the aristocrats feasting. She even started working long and hard to help provide. She was realizing that the aristocrats weren’t working at all. It wasn’t fair and she started to dread the aristocrats. Everything about them. Now her only dream for the country was to be free of this treatment. To win the fight over the rich and wealthy and save her once thought perfect country, now starving.
